Dunning suspension

« Back to Glossary Index

Pausing the collection process temporarily halts the collection procedure for an invoice or a customer, pending a specific event: resolution of a dispute, a promise to pay, or an agreement on a payment schedule.

Example

A customer promises to pay on the 20th. The reminder is suspended until the 21st. If the customer has not paid by then, the process resumes automatically.

Why It’s Important

It avoids unnecessary or awkward follow-ups, while ensuring that the matter is not overlooked.
