Dispute management

« Back to Glossary Index

Dispute management is the process of logging a dispute, finding the right person to handle it, resolving it (credit, new shipment, explanation), and then following up on payment.

Example

A dispute is entered into the software with the reason “price.” The sales representative is notified, checks the quote, and issues a credit memo for €300. The customer pays the balance the following week.

Why It’s Important

Without follow-up, a dispute can drag on for months. With a clear process in place, it can be resolved quickly, and we can analyze recurring issues (billing errors, deliveries).
