Collaborative tracking

« Back to Glossary Index

Collaborative tracking gives multiple departments (accounting, collections, sales, and customer service) shared access to a customer’s history and follow-up tasks.

Example

A customer disputes an invoice. The collections specialist notes the dispute in the customer’s file; the sales representative sees it, calls the customer, and resolves the issue. Collection efforts then resume.

Why It’s Important

Late payments are often caused by an issue that the finance department is unaware of. Sharing information prevents duplicate entries and speeds up payments.
