Behavioral scoring

« Back to Glossary Index

Behavioral scoring evaluates a customer based on their actual payment history: average payment delays, whether promises were kept, disputes, and responses to payment reminders.

Example

Two customers have the same credit score. One always pays on time, while the other is, on average, 25 days late and doesn’t keep their promises. Behavioral scoring clearly distinguishes between them.

Why It’s Important

This is often the best indicator of actual risk, as it reflects what the customer does on your site. It helps you prioritize follow-ups and tailor your approaches.
